For fans of the wildly popular TV series Suits, the emotional Season 9 finale may not have been the end after all. A potential Suits reunion movie could be in the works, according to the show’s creator, Aaron Korsh. While the series wrapped in 2019 with no loose ends, Korsh admits he’s entertained the idea of bringing the beloved characters back together.
Mark Your Calendars: February 23
The long-awaited premiere of Suits: LA is set for Sunday, February 23, at 9/8c on NBC. The buzz surrounding this spinoff is reaching a fever pitch as fans eagerly anticipate the return to the Suits universe.
As the debut approaches, the fandom’s excitement is palpable. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Korsh addressed the idea of a reunion movie, saying it’s “still in the hypothetical or theoretical stages.” However, he acknowledged the fans’ enthusiasm:
“I didn’t want to do a Season 10 of Suits — I felt I had finished telling the story of the original characters,” Korsh explained. “But I’m aware fans on social media are saying, ‘We don’t care. We want Season 10 and our old favorites back.’”
Korsh added, “I was very satisfied with how Suits ended, but at some point, a Suits movie could be fun. It’s not an insane idea to consider someday.”
For now, nothing beyond Suits LA has been confirmed. However, the new series will feature original Suits star Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) reprising his role, marking the first on-screen return to this world since the 2019 finale.
Rumors of a Reunion Persist
Speculation about a Suits movie began swirling in June when Patrick J. Adams (Mike Ross) hinted at the possibility during a reunion panel at the ATX Festival. “There’s a Suits LA show happening,” Adams said via Variety. “A movie? That’s something [Korsh] is interested in. Getting the band back together would depend on a million things, but it’s possible.”
Introducing Suits LA
As the countdown to February 23 begins, excitement for Suits LA is at an all-time high. Positioned as one of the most anticipated TV sequels of 2025, the new series promises a fresh spin on the Suits formula. While it maintains the original’s mix of scheming and loyalty, Suits LA shifts focus to the bright lights of Hollywood.
Stephen Amell stars as Ted Black, a former New York federal prosecutor who starts a top entertainment law firm, Black Lane, catering to A-list celebrity clients. The ensemble cast includes Josh McDermitt (The Walking Dead), Bryan Greenberg (One Tree Hill), and Lex Scott Davis (The L Word: Generation Q).
“It was lightning in a bottle on Suits,” said Korsh. “This cast has the same chemistry and skill. Hopefully, we’ll capture that magic again.”
Court Is Back in Session
The premiere of Suits LA on February 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC marks a new chapter in the Suits legacy. Episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock. In the meantime, fans can revisit every season of the original series on Peacock.
